On 22/23.05.15 night Constable No.1009 Sankar Chandra Shit was performing night patrolling duty at Bankura- Purulia road. In course of discharging his duty suddenly a vehicle hit him at poabagan more. As a result he sustained serious injuries. Later on succumbed to his injuries. Shri Sankar Chandra Shit sacrificed his life on the line of duty.
