Taldangra PS

TaldangraP.S is located at 23°01′N 87°07′E / 23.02°N 87.11°E / 23.02; 87.11 and 32 km far from Dist. HQ and having area of 349.7 sq km. It has about 128748 population and sharing its border with Indpur,Onda, Simlapal P.Ss of this district . Taldangra is the main town and market of this PS area and the other important semi towns are Amdangra, Bibarda, Fulmati, Harmasra, Khalagram, Panchmura, Saltora, and Satmouli. There is a market at Bibarda and a weakly market at Panchmura (Saturday/Monday). The terracotta Bankura horse, the logo of All India Handicrafts,[5] and an item which now adorns drawing rooms across the world as symbols of Indian folk-art, is produced in Panchmura.Harmasra has a Higher Secondary School that is situated just outside of the main village. It was established in 1921. It is famous for good education since its inception. The school has good Lab facility. Chandranath Patra (Scientist) and Gorachand Ghosh (Physicist-cum-Author) are renowned ex-students from this school. There is nine (9) Gram Panchayet in this P.S area.
