Conviction of 1(one) accused person in Gangajalghati PS Case No. 143/16
Order passed by Ld. Additional District & Sessions Judge 2nd Court Bankura on 01.04.2019 in connection with Gangajalghati PS Case No. 143/16 Date 07.11.16 u/s 376/506 IPC & ¾ POCSO Act, ST No. 1(1)17, SPL. 37/16 is as follows:
The accused person namely Manik Ruidas (37) S/o Sufal Ruidas of Vill- Rubiara, PS- G.Ghati, Dist- Bankura is found guilty for committing an offence punishable u/s 4/6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act. 2012. He is also found guilty for committing an offence punishable U/S 376 (2) (f) (k) of the Indian Penal Code. The accused person is thus convicted accordingly in terms of section 235 Cr.P.C. He is sentenced to undergo imprisonment for life and also to pay fine of Rs. 20,000/- in default to undergo simple imprisonment for 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offence Act. 2012.Both sentences will run concurrently.
