On 10.04.2020 at Nowadih village under Malian GP, Hirbandh PS, SP Bankura Shri Koteswara Rao N, IPS and DM Bankura Shri S. Arun Prasad, IAS accompanied by Addl SP Rural Shri Ganesh Biswas and SDO Shri Ravi Ranjan and others – initiated the “ANNADAN” project of Bankura District Police inspired by our Hon’ble Chief Minister, West Bengal. Here 200 persons of mainly ‘Patashilpi’ community were served lunch by the officers present .
This is a humble initiative of Bankura police to stand with the people in this time of COVID Crisis and lockdown under which daily 200+ people will be fed lunch of Rice, Dal, Vegetables and Egg with Chutney. The effort is to augment the ration availability in the distant regions and also through this interaction to increase the Community Awareness to put up a robust fight against Corona Pandemic.
In the first phase of this ‘ANNADAN’ Project around 100 hamlets of South Bankura have been selected on a pilot basis for the next 30 days covering all 9 PSs of Khatra subdivision .
We will try to reach the needy persons of all communities viz Patashilpi, Bouri, Santhal, Kurmi, Bhumij, Minorities and general communities in an effort inspired by Hon’ble CM ma’am .
